Amazon.com Product Description
The closest you'll get to a traditional bed without actually buying one, the Intex Air-Flow queen airbed is ideal for travelers who want the comforts of a bed but the convenience of a blow-up mattress. The top and sides of the bed are constructed with a special network of interconnected air cells that cause the air to flow smoothly and gradually across the sleeping surface. The unique engineering creates a luxurious sleeping surface that's comfortable and stable--a dramatic departure from many other inflatable beds. The mattress is also equipped with a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge waterproof flocked top with 15-gauge vinyl beams and 16-gauge sides and bottom for stability. And best of all, the Air-Flow mattress is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere 3-1/2 minutes. No more fussing with tiring hand or foot pumps or rummaging through the garage for your detached electric pump. And should the mattress feel a little too soft or firm, you can customize the comfort level with the touch of a button.

The Air-Flow is raised 20 inches from the floor, making it far taller than most inflatable mattresses. And at 60 by 20 by 80 inches (W x H x D), the mattress is an official queen size, making it a good fit for fitted sheets. The Air-Flow queen bed--which offers a capacity of 600 pounds--is a terrific choice whether you're sleeping at the in-law's overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. The mattress comes with an AC power cord and a duffel bag (for storage) and carries a 90-day limited warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Superb   August 27, 2010

This really is a great air bed. The electric pump makes it inflate and deflate very quickly. It really looks and feels as close to a real bed as you can get. We got this bed for when we moved into our new apartment until our real bed arrived. I can honestly say that I was not desperate for the real bed to arrive once we were sleeping on this airbed. We are now going to use it for guests. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Air bed success   August 23, 2010

Bought this bed moving into a unfurnished vacatiion Apt. to use while renovating and then for extra bed when I furnished the place. It slept great. The vertical billows dont roll like the horizontal designs do. Woke up next to edge and had no sense of rolling off. A little more expensive than some but good for the money in the long run. It did loose a little air each night. I added 30 seconds of air each night depending on how firm you like it. But a good nights sleep here. Feels like a real bed if not better.

1 out of 5 stars Deflated on first use   August 22, 2010

We thought it'd be a good idea to invest in an expensive air mattress like this one since we frequently have visitors. As it turns out, our $20 performed far better than this one. The mattress inflated nicely and appeared to be firm and comfortable. However, after about 2 hours of sleep, our guests found their butts touching the floor, as the mattress was almost completely deflated.

I've searched for leaks using the best techniques I could find (spraying soapy water, etc) but no dice. I'm very dissapointed that a mattress this expensive failed immediately.

5 out of 5 stars Gold Standard   August 19, 2010
Ellie (North Shore of Boston, USA)
For the past five years I've used air matresses. Sound strange? I moved to new housing back then before my goods arrived, went to a local big box drug store and got a small air mattress to tide me over. Comfortable! Then I got a bigger one. More comfort. After a year or so I got a queen size air mattress with built in inflating pump and I've never looked back. Real comfort.

In the past, I used to use Simmonds BeautyRest mattresses and was happy with them. But frankly this air mattress is more comfortable for much, much less money. It is easy, not dangerous to one's back, to move. easy to transport, light, stores in a small space. But most of all it is the most comfortable mattress I've ever had. Don't like water beds. Don't like memory foam. Tried them both.

So, for me, this is the gold standard for comfort. Wait! There is a drawback. You knew it, didn't you? They generally don't last more than two years before leaks develop and they don't hold air even overnight. But at this price it still doesn't cost more than the other types over a period of 15 years, even buying a new one each two years. So, that's what I do. Instant, adjustable sleeping comfort. This model is the best I've found. And Amazon's price is the best you'll find. Recommended.
